Founded in 1987 as an institutional investment firm and headquartered in Coral Gables, Florida, Guzman & Company is a leading provider of investment banking and brokerage services to major corporations and financial institutions nationwide. The Guzman Investment Center was recently established to provide the benefits of the firm’s expertise and resources to private investors and small business retirement plans. Investment Advice
Guzman & Company offers professional investment advice, online portfolio management tools and one-to-one to guidance to private investors and retirement plan investors that participate in the Guzman Portfolio Management Program. The program is designed to provide the essential resources that investors need to achieve their long-term goals, including ongoing advice and help from experienced investment professionals.
Accounts Served
The Guzman Investment Center offers a full compliment of brokerage accounts and mutual fund accounts including: individual accounts, joint tenancy accounts, custodian accounts, corporate and sole proprietorship accounts, and trust accounts. The Center also offers a spectrum of prototype retirement accounts including, IRA, SEP IRA, SIMPLE IRA, 401 K and Keogh Retirement Plans.
Commissions and Fees
The commissions and/or fees that Guzman receives in connection with purchases of mutual funds featured in the Portfolio Management Program will vary depending on the Share Class selected. Commissions for regular brokerage transactions are charged at discounted rates that are comparable to the commissions charged by the major discount brokerage firms for broker-assisted transactions.
Account Protection
Guzman & Company accounts are carried with National Financial Services, LLC (NFS), courtesy of a tri-party brokerage agreement with Leigh Baldwin & Company as introducing broker to NFS, and Guzman & Company as correspondent broker to Leigh Baldwin. Guzman & Company accounts held at NFS are protected up to the full net equity value of the securities in the account at no additional cost to the client. For more information, click here.
